Why I built Readdit Later
I built four side projects for fun. Two flopped, the third was a general Google bookmarks manager. After that I decided to stop building for myself and start building something a real user would actually need.
I kept searching for ideas, and nothing clicked until one random day I realized searching for ideas won't work, but searching for problems would. I looked at every friction point in my own routine (learning, working, browsing) and landed on Reddit saves. I was barely a year into using Reddit, but I'd already seen dozens of people complaining about the same thing: saved posts disappear into a flat, unsearchable list and you never find them again.
I did the research. Bookmark managers existed for Twitter and LinkedIn, but nothing for Reddit that felt like a clean, searchable library. Just basic tools with basic workflows. So I built one, inspired by my third side project, Bookmark Breeze Pro, where people could come and actually learn from their own saved data, the way you'd search through Google, Claude, ChatGPT, or Perplexity.
