Model Context Protocol
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets AI tools access external data sources. Readdit Later's MCP integration turns your Reddit save library into a personal knowledge connector that works inside Claude, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible client.
Two connection modes are available. Remote MCP is a personal connector for Claude web, desktop, and mobile: open Readdit Later, click Connect to AI in the sidebar, click Create my private link, and copy the URL. Then in Claude go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste it. The remote connector gives Claude full access to your library - semantic search, summaries, insights, recommendations, plus actions like labeling, notes, marking read, and (with confirmation) deleting. The link is private, revocable anytime from the extension, and tokens rotate every 90 days. Local MCP runs via npx readdit-later-mcp setup for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Windsurf - it configures your client automatically and adds file exports: CSV, Markdown, HTML, Obsidian, and Notion sync.
The local MCP server exposes 20 tools across four categories. Read tools: search_posts (full-text + semantic), get_post, get_stats, list_subreddits, list_labels, list_collections, get_insights (pattern analysis), and connection_status. Write tools: label_posts, remove_label, mark_read, add_note, delete_posts, create_collection, add_to_collection, remove_from_collection, and delete_collection. Export tools: export_posts (JSON, CSV, Markdown, HTML, Obsidian). Notion tools: sync_to_notion and export_to_notion.
